Meet the Artist

From a young age, Callum Colbourne has felt a deep connection to the natural world and a responsibility to protect it. Growing up in rural England, inspired by David Attenborough’s documentaries, he spent his childhood exploring the natural world, nurturing a lifelong passion for wildlife.

Art became Callum’s way of bringing this passion to life. For him, it is more than self-expression, it is a voice for endangered species, a spark for awareness, and a call to action.

His journey has taken him across the globe in search of inspiration. In Australia, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia, he has surfed world-class waves, freedived with dolphins and humpback whales, and witnessed the majesty of Asian elephants. These experiences flow directly into his work, freediving mirrors the creative process, both moments of pure immersion and connection. Callum has begun a project with the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary (EJS) in Phuket, Thailand, supporting the rehabilitation of this remarkable species.

Alongside his wildlife pieces, he creates abstract works that are honest expressions of emotion, ranging from calm to turbulent. Together, both styles allow him to explore the outer world of nature and the inner world of feeling.

Through his work, Callum aims to connect people not only with wildlife but also with themselves, reminding us of the beauty that emerges when we care deeply for our planet.
